THE SITUATION

The Teachers’ Lounge is an education-based nonprofit organization driving student success by diversifying the people, thoughts, and actions shaping classrooms in Greater Boston and beyond. Their mission — to recruit, revitalize, and retain educators of color — is rooted in creating equitable and inclusive learning environments for all. As their programming expanded, The Teachers’ Lounge needed a cohesive brand identity and digital infrastructure to amplify their impact and communicate their growing vision effectively.

THE CHALLENGE

When we partnered with The Teachers’ Lounge, their branding lacked cohesion, clarity, and strategic direction. With new programs launching and partnerships forming, they needed a unified brand system to visually connect their initiatives and a digital platform that could grow with them. The challenge was to redesign their website for greater functionality and engagement, build a revenue-generating job board, and create a strong, scalable visual identity that reflected the organization’s mission and values.

WHAT WE DID

We refined The Teachers’ Lounge brand from the ground up — developing a complete brand identity and logo system to represent their expanding programs. We transitioned their site from Squarespace to WordPress, creating a more dynamic, strategy-driven platform. The new job board, a key feature of the redesign, has generated nearly $50,000 in revenue, with 2,000+ jobs posted and hundreds of schools and districts engaged. We also led design and branding for the annual Educators’ Prom, managed email marketing, and built a content management system to keep their messaging consistent, efficient, and evergreen. Since our collaboration, The Teachers’ Lounge has raised over seven figures in grants and partnerships — including major collaborations with Boston Public Schools.

Brand Colors

The color palette is intentionally designed to reflect the essence of our brand.

The blues convey stability and reliability, while the teal represents natural vitality and growth. Gold brings a sense of vibrant energy, and the neutral tones of gray, black, and white emphasize inclusivity and our commitment to diversity.

Together, these colors form a cohesive and harmonious visual identity that aligns seamlessly with our mission and vision.
